Victoria Mallon is a professional fashion and lifestyle photographer based in Melbourne, Australia. Victoria commissioned us to create her visual identity and a website to showcase her increasing portfolio of work.
For the identity we selected a typeface befitting of fashion and complimenting the letterforms in Victoria's name. Online, we ensured that Victoria's accomplished photography was the star of the show.
We kept the site design intentionally understated with a simple, clean aesthetic and black and white colour palette.
Victoria needed to easily add new photography to the website. We developed an easy to use, bespoke back-end that required only one size of each photo to be uploaded. Other sizes required were then auto-generated and seamlessly populated across the site.
For Victoria's identity, we used an extra light version of the 1970s Herb Lubalin typeface Avant Garde. The glyphs for the 'V' and 'M' added stand out and character. Putting these two letterforms together gave us a distinctive monogram to use for social media avatars.
